Popular 8-week course now on sale

We are now taking bookings for our 8-week courses starting on 21st August. These cover both hand-building techniques and wheel-throwing.

The course is suitable for beginner + intermediate levels.

Classes are held on a Wednesday evening, Thursday morning and Friday evening.

Pottery Taster session (2 hours).

A 2hr one-to-one studio session to experience working with clay.

Sessions are available from Wednesday through to Sunday for one to four people.

intensive 3-day throwing course

£160.00

Date: 20th July, 23rd July, 27th July

Held in a small group of no more than 6 students, this course is ideal for those who want accelerated learning to achieve their next level of throwing, turning and glazing.

At the end of the course, each student will have several finished pieces which will be fired for them to to take home.

This class is ideal for those of you who have taken at least one previous course or who at an intermediate level and who will benefit from an intensive course with a high level of one-to-one coaching

Kiln Cambridge members have access to 1-2-1- classes with our resident potter, Danika. The cost is £15 per hour. Please contact Danika directly to book.

Tarragon smith*

Born in Canada, Tarragon now lives and works in the UK. He holds an MA in Fine Art from Central Saint Martins, London, and a BFA with a minor in art history from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, Canada.

Harriet James*

Harriet first fell in love with making ceramics as a teenager at Putney School of Art. She has been making off and on ever since in parallel with a career in marketing and management consultantancy and having a family. Harriet’s own work is diverse: pared back functional thrown stoneware sits alongside highly textured and decorated hand built pieces, and colourful earthenware, all reflecting her constant desire to experiment and learn.
